Sylco campground is overgrown and the pit toilets are boarded up. My son got stung by a bee multiple times while we were checking the place out. There were a few tents there with multiple barking dogs in cages inside of the tents. We took a short hike on the trail across from the campground. It was pretty in the woods but when we got back we had to pick off a couple of ticks crawling on our clothes. I saw no signs of the rivers mentioned when I read about the campground on the internet. It is located about 6 miles on a windy dirt road. We took the road on the right and then had to turn around and took the road on the left before we finally found it.

Good for pitching a tent, but there's only 3 fire rings and no water, so bring bottled or a filter. And a shovel, there are NO places to #2...

Now defunct campground. Forest Service has removed trash receptacles/tables and grass never gets cut. Still a good spot to pitch a tent though.
